A) I love the Charles Babbage quote in your signature.

B) People here have the craziest way of talking. They never once have said a T, and ee becomes short i, and whole sentences can be contracted into one word. "How are you" becomes "ha'r'ya" or "har'yoouuu" where the "you" is coming from the back of the throat and drawn out.
It's not so bad in the city, but once you get rural, wow!
