ftp backup script

Hi,

I am after a backup application which can be run from a win 2k / xp desktop to ftp the entire contents of a folder including ALL sub folders and files to an ftp server.

From what i can tell the ftp.exe built in XP does not support sub folders.

Other options i would like are to only upload new / modified files.

As for payment i am really not sure on the work involved so i am looking for some guidelines.

There maybe some other requirements but these would depend on costs

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Is there any reason you don't just pick up a freebie like FileZilla?

What nastyness are you uploading to your website? Kidding, you're prolly someone wanting to post secret goverment documents to your website so that you can take down the goverment...

On a more serious note: Why won't 3rd party software suffice?

I'll do it for about 10 K, US. The work will be strictly subject to a specification produced first. The price may vary depending on how that works out. A retainer and proof of ability to pay will be required.

the reason i do not want to use 3rd party ones as this is for something i am doing for a couple of work collegues and i want to make it idiot proof and not having to use ftp programs.

I want something they can click and it does it or use windows scheduler to run. They are not doggy doc's mainly company docs (xls, doc, pdf etc)

I think most reliable FTP programs will do what they are told to do when you click them. Mine does. As to Windows Scheduler running an FTP program, just tell it to do that and it will.
