I want to start learning Python, but I know really nothing about it. What do I need as far as a compilier or IDE goes? What do I use to put my code in?

I didn't like the IDLE that came with my download, so I grabbed Boa Constructor. That satisfied me, at least momentarily. Strictly personal opinion; I did no search/collection/comparison exercise for everything available.
