ok, so here's the thing.. i'm planing on making a program that is going to make me use enough c to remember it... so i'm not sure yet if to make a program that for example converts celcius to fahrenheit or a dictionary that converts english words to norwegian.... any other suggestions?

Enough C to make you remember it? Check out the exercises in a C book. They're generally designed to help you understand the language.

Make something, I dunno... useful. Something you need. A program that would help you do stuff.

Make something like.... a Phonebook perhaps? Or perhaps a grocery store checkout program, something along those lines.

Write a program that writes "...for Dummies" books. It replaces all the nouns and copies all the verbs as-is.

Hey, C for Dummies is good! It's the rest of them that suck!

printf ("%c %s %s\n", getNextChar (), "for", "Dummies");

Yes. Go to Barnes & Noble Bookstore (or on-line), and get the very good and very cheap book titled "C Programming in Easy Steps".

Cost is $9.99, and it's written expressly for dev-C, iirc. It doesn't have the most stimulating problems and programs, but it covers absolutely TONS of basics, all in a very easy to understand highly colored, little book.

I was amazed at how much they were able to cram into that little book. Author is Mike McGrath. You'll never see a better book for less than $10.00, trust me on this!

well you are wrong in that I wont find a better book for less then 10$... first of all, my country don't have that store, and if i where to buy it online i would get a toll fee and stuff like that.. but I just went to the library and borrowed C for dummies as I wrote earlier, and it's really good. But thanx anyway
