Yeah, I once tried to debug someones code for like half an hour, with errors all over the place. I was rather new to C++ at the time, and it took me a while to notice she had forgotten an opening brace for main :p

I remember a project I did in high school where I think it was a semi-colon issue that went from VC6 giving 120-someodd errors and stopping compilation because it was pointless (there was an actual error code specifically for "too many errors") to 0 errors, 0 warnings. :eek:

I cannot recall the time I've ever had errors because I was missing semicolons. I have had times when I put a superfluous semicolon at the end of 'if' or 'while' statements though, and had sought for a whole while before I figured it out.

I believe it was in DevC++ (using the MinGW gcc port) where I've gotten an error that says something like 'confused by earlier errors; bailing out' at the end of a long list of other errors. Talk about a kick to the self-esteem, eh?
