Heh heh heh, that was a bit mean Agent 47. http://www.w3schools.com/ have some nice entry-level tutorials on a variety of subjects including VBScript and JavaScript. I seem to recall their tutorials focus mainly on using these languages for scripting in web pages; they're also useful for system administration on Win32 systems, so you might want to take a look at what http://msdn.microsoft.com/ has to say about them.

I don't think there's really any substitute for a good book though; all I can say is generally avoid Sams books and the Dummies series. O'Reilly books are nice, but don't get something from the "In a Nutshell" series if what you want is a tutorial; they're definitely more for reference purposes (my first attempt at learning Java was from Java in a Nutshell, which was a Bad Move(TM) despite being a great reference book...).

I'd generally advise against VBScript and in favour of JavaScript, especially for web pages. VBScript is not portable, although for system administration scripts on Win32 it can be awkward to work with collections using JavaScript compared to VBScript so if that's your focus maybe VBScript has its advantages for you.
