Heh, we stoped using Symantic products here at work about 4 months ago. We found that it didn't catch some of the newer viruses that were coming out. Funny part is, AVG would catch stuff that symantic wouldn't. We also found that there were alot of viruses out there that were made to take out Symatic products...something that we didn't want to deal with.

I rarely find FF crashing on me. As for norton and symantec products, I don't have any opinion. There is rarely one AV that can catch everything.

Firefox crashes on me about once ever two weeks. It states that it has encountered a problem and asks if it may send a report back to its master. I say, 'yes', and live with it, because I like it a lot. Any AV product can only catch viruses of which it is aware (excepting heuristic approaches, which are not universally effective). My quarrel with AV products is not that they are ineffective, but that they consider themselves the center of the universe and eventually coopt too much power of the machine for their ends. My machine is a tool. AVs are rust-preventatives. I hope I never get to the point where my day is spent preventing rust on my tools, at the expense of using them.

My goodness, some of the multimillionaires in my town have 7 cars, I thought that was odd, but 17 cars is in my opinion a little absurd.

That's about right, unless I let it wait 5 minutes, but I don't have THAT much patience.
