This very code didn't work in IE or Firefox.

<table width=100% style="word-wrap:break-word">
<tr style="word-wrap:break-word">
<td style="word-wrap:break-word">
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
</td></tr></table>

EDIT: there are no breaks in those Ws. the forum software puts them in automatically.

'Break-word' is IE only.

Use something on the server to format the text correctly. PHP's
wordwrap, for example.

I know I could use that, but... I hate how some lines would show up longer than others just because it's using bigger characters. I wish I could find a function that does wordwarp deliminated by physical length of a phrase, not deliminated by the amount of characters in the phrase.

Okay, I have another idea. Is there some way to put a horizontal scrollbar in a table cell?

Nice, familiar link. Doesn't fix the problem, though.

Yes, but you need to give the cell a fixed width.
<td style="width:150px; overflow:auto;">

That didn't work either...

Changing overflow:auto to overflow:scroll didn't help either.

EDIT: it works in IE, but not firefox. I need something that works in all major browsers...

Thanks for the suggestion, though. I do appreciate it.

another edit: Well, it actually doesn't scroll in IE. It was just truncating from that leftover 'word-wrap:break-word' stuff.
