Programmers have a life?

My friends and I are having a debate. He's telling me that most programmers have no life and basically live by their computers day through day. I'm just wondering what you guys do in your free time, (when you're not programming), Please be honest.

I play a good bit of basketball. Otherwise, at least in my case, your friend is correct :-\

it depends on your definition of a life, most people would define it as doing a bunch of shit that i don't like.

anyway, i go to the park with my duaghter, dinner and movies with my wife, visit friends and relatives, go to school, work 40 hours a week, and play video games.

I'm only 16, but I have a good social life and a few other hobbies (although, admittedly, they center more around computers).

Yeah, one can turn into a nerd and not have a life, if one does only one thing.
But, one should be social, go out, to friends, girl or wife.
Have a good time playing sports.
Go shopping, or go to the movies.
Find and try something difficult/challenging.
Do what everybody else does, just add the computer as another dimension to life.

Main point is: don't spend too much time on your computer, but be balanced in life.

Hrmm.
What else do I do besides sit around my computer...
I don't think World of Warcraft counts as away from my computer... since I need to be on it to play.
I was in school for the past two years though.... although admittedly that has caused me to be on my computer more often.
When we both aren't busy working or what not, I spend time with my finacee.
I read and write.
I watch TV once a week, for about 2 hours.

Ok, you made me look at my life and now I am rather depressed.
Shame on you! lol.

When we are free, I do spend time with other friends, although that isn't as often as I would like.

Meh, ok, most of my time is spent in front of the computer, which I am trying to work on, but I rather enjoy it.
It's not much of one, but I do have a life.
bah.

Well, I go out with friends on weekends, and maybe 2 or 3 weekdays. I go biking, see movies(but I haven't gone to a movie in a longass time, supposed to be goin with an ex on sunday though...), basketball, and I usually get at least 1 phonecall a day. It's wierd because if I don't get a phonecall all day, someone so damn unsuspected will call at like 11:00 at night, like yesterday for example... Life's good on my end, I barely depend on programming to get me through the days, although sometimes I wish I did.
