Save The Internet!

http://savetheinternet.com/

Apparently congress plans to dismiss net neutrality, and replace it with some pretty whacked out rules.

If you are a US citizen, and you want to write to congress about it, you can do so here:

I wrote a letter to them. But the last thing I noticed was I had to be a US citizen. By then it was too late. This is what I wrote to them.

I think the plans you have for the future of the Internet are ridiculously stupid. If there are problems that need to be sorted out with the Internet, they can be dealt with. However, don't look towards these short-term solutions that could cause an uproar in violation of free speech, putting many people out of business, ultimately downsizing the national economy.

In grade 4 we learned how to make a problem solving chart to make the right decisions. I would hope that congress is more intelligent than a group of fourth graders.

Tell me what you think of it all.

If "con" is the opposite of "pro" then the opposite of progress is congress.

I don't know what the deal is with this net neutrality stuff so I won't comment too much on it, although I will say that I believe that the internet should remain under the same control that it is now. Private companies in America. Government always screws things up, so they shouldn't be put in control and if you try to share the internet with companies over-seas you are asking for political shit that will rip the entire internet apart. No one will agree on anything and we will be taking one step forward and two steps back to an age where nothing is standardized. As if we weren't having enough trouble as it is agreeing on standards!

Hey guess what, the internet is not just from America. Doesn't matter what they do, it won't change.

Somehow I would imagine that corporations (and their associated lobbyists) would not take kindly to such action, so I'll just let them handle it for now. :p
