Some Interesting PFO Stats

Out of the 4815 members currently registered at PFO...

- 1655 haven't made a single post
- 4395 have made less than 15 posts
- 30% of the (non-lounge) posts have been made by the top 10 posters
- Ooble alone makes up 6% of PFO's (non-lounge) posts

o.o;;

That sounds about right. Most people only join the forums in the first place to get a question answered then leave. The other 1655 probably just started programming, got bored of it, and never bothered to come back, probably.

But 1655 not making a single post? Why would you sign up somewhere, then not even use it at all?

I hate it when people join a forum, never post, and never come back. I don't know why it bothers me, I guess it's just the waste of a char (so to speak) with their name in it.

Maybe they just wanted to join just to ask one question but found our their question has already been asked. So they said the hell with it. Those are the smart ones who actually read the forums before posting. But still a waste.

It's hard to believe, but I take there ARE at least 1655 people who know to search before asking, and therefore don't/won't post until they have another question they can't find the answer to in a half-hour or so of personal effort. Not posting doesn't mean they didn't USE the forum.

No I don't believe you do need to be registered to search, but they could have registered so if they wouldn't have found the answer the could ask a question later. maybe they figured it was easier to register right away then when they really need the help.

Or it's possible they read through a few threads and saw the haughty, holier-than-thouest-the-noob attitude and decided not to embarass themselves.
