Man has a point. It's nowhere near as much fun though.

If your going to create an MS Access database for your serials, every computer u use it on would have to have MS Access or OpenOffice installed on it to read the file. If your stroring your serials on a flash drive, this could be a problem. A simple text document (.txt) would be easier because any (or almost any) OS can open them.

I know i want to make it look nice though. What I think I'm looking to do is creating a stand alone database that runs as a .exe file... any directions on how to do that?

This has been utterly fascinating. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go floss my duck's teeth.

In the time you've spent thinking about this, you could have had a working program. Just download Visual C#, draw some Buttons and ListViews and whatnot, and slap four lines of code in. Ta da!

Make it more useable and have it to where keys/serials can be entered for any software. Encrypt it. With C#, this would be quick.
