yes i changed my question ... i didnt know i was supposed to stick to the same question in a thread ....

but... yeah i need to stop assuming ppl can read my mind you see

so now ... are you willing to tell me what is going on in the function item<Attributes>* Scanner::get() with c? oh ...if not for me ... but maybe for other people who want to know the answer? :p

I didn't say you had to stick to the same question. Just presenting them in some rational manner is going to get you better answers from your FREE advisors; that DOES preclude expecting us to read your mind. It's beyond me how YOU can advise anyone to calm down -- you, who made three posts in a row with a super large, bold assignment statement, as if we couldn't comprehend what "assignment" means. And since you want to be a smart-ass about it, you can eff off and wait for someone ELSE to tell you about the function you didn't mention having curiosity about in your first two questions.

... i didnt mean to question your comprehension ... just wanted to be a lil easy on your eyes ...

it looks like c is used as a temp to read in digits from cin and append them to s.
