j2me

If I'm not mistaken, J2me is a Java environment that is used on devices like Cell Phones and PDAs, right? Has anyone ever worked with this before? I'm just trying to get an idea of whether I should invest in a cell phone with j2me just for the reason of writing my own simple games to go on it.

You can download an emulator and try it out. You don't necessarily need a Java enabled phone to create J2ME applications. Usually, programmers design their applications on a Java phone emulator before testing on real phones. In theory, all phones should act in the same way as their associated emulators.

THUG 2 for the cell phone was made with J2ME. My brother downloaded a free trial and the JAVA loading screen came up. Hopefully, I want to work with J2ME and create my own games and give them out to people. That would be something.
