Virtual Memory question
I could not find a forum for Unix-based operations, but since the class I am in is taught in C, ill post it here.
I am currently trying to figure out how to convert Virtual Memory Addresses into Physical Memory Addresses. I understand how it works. It is the the concatonation of the Physical Page Number, and Virtual Page Offset as far as I could gather However, I am currently unable to figure out how I am supposed to come up with the Physical Page Number. Does anyone know how this is calculated? Assume you are given only a Virtual Address Also, what are the parameters for determining if there is a TLB hit, or a Page fault? |
