I was wondering if anyone knows a way to sniff data from a flash program. Like, if you press a button in flash, can I sniff a packet from it?

Basically, I press a button in flash, and I want to read the action that happens after.

Also, is there a way to press a flash button using Java.

I'm trying to create a stand alone client to interact with flash for future purposes. Any help would be appreciated.

You would have to learn Actionscript in order to do it. Sorry tho, I dont know how to do it maybe this link would help you...sorry if it doesnt

From what I just read from what you sent me, it doesn't seem what I'm looking for. I'm not looking to create a flash application and use java to manipulate it, I'm looking for a way to...possibly sniff packets from a flash application and use them in a program.

Sniffing packets is one thing, but I think you're talking about reverse engineering a flash application. Search Google for an swf decompiler.

I think there's one called SWF2FLA, but i'm not sure.

Even then, you'd still have to know your way around flash and actionscript, as has been said
