Please suggest any set-up for may application.

My client or end-user and the database server is in different location. What set-up can u seggesting to me? Right now I'm planning to use COM technology of delphi . Is it advisable to use a web-based application in this senario?

Some told I can use a replication model. What is a replication model? Is Interbase or firebird has this capability?

Your opinion and suggestion will be a big help to me.

Thanks.

Drop Delphi... use PHP and MySQL if you want a web application for database interaction. I'd personally use this approach and I have in the past. If you are "die hard" for Delphi, I can't help you because I do not have Delphi experience. If I wasn't going with a web app, itd be C++/C# through ADO or DAO methods.
