Hello, I;m makign a website like PScode and programmersheaven. I need it to where when people upload there code it will automatically search it viruses and spyware etc. I plan on using Mcaffe or Symantec. But I dont know if im supposed to put it on my Server or what. Please Help.

Symantec AV clients work in both Windows and Linux... I don't know about McAffee. Specify one directory for uploads... have a script to scan the directory for viruses and if clear move the uploaded file into public view.

What do you mean "you don't know if it will support it or not"? Just install th software on your server. There are plenty of scanners for both windows and linux.

That are pretty complex websites, and they get a lot of hits and I bet their server has a little stress at time, do you have the hardware, time, experience, money and all of that to support such a project?

Yes Ghost I do, As most of you may knw oi own a company named Team Alpha & Omega and since my last posts 2months ago we have grown tremndoulsy. We are seting up our web servers so we can stop using yahoo tp host and we hope to start web hosting for the public. But yes I know the resources i will need to have for this and that is why i asked the employees before we started taking this on. But thanks for the advice and I will let yall know when I get it done. It may be awhile cause im still in HS and its my junior year so the teachers are pilign on homework cause the y don't like us.
