C++ Programmers needed for game making

I am making a team of people to start on a game project, so far there are 6 people in the team mainly consisting of computer artists and i need some programmers to join in. The plan for the game is to one with graphics similar to Castlevania DS www.gametrailers.com(look if you need to). If that is a succes, we will contiue to make games , slowly working up to harder and harder games as we proceed.
The basic storyline for the starting game is as follows:
You are an extremely powerful and skilled gang leader, doing as you please until you are shot and killed in a gang shootout. When you die, you realize that you are going to hell. As you are falling into the eternal pits of hell, an angel flys down and catches you right before you land, it pulls you up to heaven and into the face of god. God tells you that the only way for you to cheat getting into hell and buy your way into heaven, you must go to earth as a fallen angel and seal the gate from hell to earth so spirits from hell cannot go from hell to earth and cause havoc as they please. The gate is far beneath the ground in an old, abandoned castle in Germany. You have to fight your way through hoards of demonic creatures to get to the gate and destroy it.

We will need all sorts of programmers in this project,(sound, graphic, ect.)
I would prefer C++ programmers only.
Email me at elmerogallo1@netscape.net if you are interested in joining this project, we have a website being built and a yahoo group which you will be invited to if you decide to join. I will accept all C++ programmers from novice to expert.

Hmm. It might help if you helped write most of your project, as it is your idea and nobody but you knows exactly how you want it to be. Also, I would suggest that you get a good knowlege of C++ before starting a project of this magnitude.

Um... you may want to learn more C++, like the others said, I suggest the SAMs book: Learn Game programming in 24 hours, also.

Any book that ends in "in 24 hours", "in 7 days", "in 21 days", etc. is automatically shite. I suggest Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus if you want to learn DirectX. If you're going down the OpenGL road (which I've heard is better), I can't help ya.

There is a third option: learn C++ properly, and use an easy-to-understand third-party library such as OGRE for your rendering. So much easier.

When using OpenGL, go for the redbook.
