Hi,

i can kinda answer the big complex programs as i am writng a bespoke one for work at the minute.

At first dived straight in, as that is all i really know, since uni programs were tiny and could be done in half an hour , but then realised need planning i have made about 10 differnet class diagrams i no the system i am trying to devlop in and out, knowing what things are required etc etc. Planning is a key point to writng a large program, as you pick up the skills, i am still getting there, you will less rely on the need to worry abou the programming side and spend a lot more time on the planning and the debugging stages.

Ok then, after finishing my Java books, I think I will need to learn how to plan making big programs. Regular programming books teach this planning concept very tenuously.

Do you have any idea ? I mean any advisable books or tutorials on the internet about planning big and efficient programs?

Well I'm pretty new, but I started off with YaBasic (www.yabasic.de) it is a very simple BASIC and only takes about a weekend to learn if you spend time on it. I dont know if its that similar to C++ or C, the real daddies of programming, but it does help you get your head around the concepts of programming.

Also, this doc is a lifesaver instead of having to read the manual ;D
