Late intro
Hey everyone. I've made a few posts and only just noticed this board. But a late intro is better than no intro, yeah?
 I got into development when I was a unix admin. I loved writing ksh/bash scripts and from there learned the basics of C++. That's when I really decided programming was for me. Since then I've delved into PHP (& HTML/CSS), Javascrpt, C#, and most-recently Java. I've also worked (internship) as a Java developer where I learned quite a bit more about GUI programming and was exposed to Eclipse and CVS. All told, I probably have about 5 years of development exposure and 3 years of "good" experience. I'm now a student at UT Dallas, persuing an undergrad degree in computer science and a grad degree in software engineering. I'm looking forward to reading through more posts here and contributing to questions when my schedule allows. Cheers, Tony |
