Best Firefox extensions
Great ones:
NoScript: Get rid of those annoying abuses of JavaScript. Adblock Enhanced (Adblock+whitelist with @@ in front) and Fasterfox: I shouldn't need to explain. Menu Editor: There's so much crap I don't need (especially the Greasemonkey things), plus I think Page Info should be in the View menu. This thing ought to be included in Firefox. Mouse Gestures: Easier and more efficiant back, forward pages and tabs, plus the W3C validator. Dictionary Search (which is set to Wiktionary and Wikipedia): Don't have to copy the phrase and enter wp (phrase) in the URL bar. StumbleUpon: Great for when you're bored. FlashGot (set to KGet): Firefox's download manager sucks, especially with that GTK file selector. Not so good but still worth having: Nuke Anything Enhanced: For those pages that don't know about CSS medias and sometimes that random whatever just floating there. Image Zoom: Sometimes people don't know how to size images. Greasemonkey: A few useful Digg, Slashdot and Dilbert scripts. User Agent Switcher: For those sites that say they only support IE and acient Netscapes. HTML Validator: Who's standards compliant?

Some more useful extensions:
Google preview: Add thumbnails to your Google results. Session saver: Automatically saves what tabs and windows you have open when you quit firefox, or when firefox crashes. I couldn't live without this one ![]() IE Tab: Internet Explorer, in a Firefox tab! (Windows only) Flashblock: Flash animations are blocked until they're clicked on. |

Firefox runs a lot better on Linux in my experience.
On linux, the second i press enter after typing firefox, it pops up. On windows it takes about 10 seconds to load after clicking the icon. And I've heard loads of people say that FireFox eats up memory on windows.
