take his offer! seriously .. maybe you do have a core done but that website looks so horrible that its almost impossible to take it seriously. The website looks broken, if you can't make a website without errors I question making an OS.

There you go people. He is happy with a buggy website. I hope he takes more care over his "OS that supports Mac, Linux and windows programs". What a joke.

Wink Re: Looking for C programmers

Wow, I was such an idiot back then, its fun to look back on bad things ^^. Anyway, the project is still going strong after 2 years. I haven't worked on it much but, its only really a spare-time project at the moment. It's now open source and has a better website.. http://sendla.motronsoftware.com . Its also been open sourced since, so if anyone wants to take a look at the source, just give me a shout. I just got the floppy disk driver working properly a few minutes ago and it seems to be going well. I was just wondering if anyone here is interested in helping to develop a filesystem for it? I don't really understand file systems and really don't want to use FAT12 (Or any other FAT for that matter) so, if anyone wants to help or knows any good tutorials on making file systems, please shout.

Thanks,
-Steven

P.S This isn't a paid job..

Re: Looking for C programmers

Filesystems are a pain. I had to write on in school, and in the 3 weeks I worked on it (starting with a very bare but workable version) never got some of the features working quite right. If you're still trying to support other OSs, you should try supporting one of their file systems, like either FAT32 or ext2, or look at the documentation for one of those and try to get it working. I wouldn't immediately try to implement something very complicated like NTFS or ReiserFS or any of the abundant other feature-rich filesystems.
