LMAO. I used an XML file for the PFO map at first, because it was cute. Not denigrating the concept, I used to mock it with my own techniques 10 years ago, but one evaluates, one picks and chooses.

Bah, humbug. In the future, there will inevitably be scripts that return data from a database...as xml. Saves bandwidth, for one. Is it really neccesary to have the content and presentation mixed in static pages? Is it not a pain to use a template engine or put inline, presentation dependent html in your scripts? The search engines will catch up sooner or later. There seems to be several requests in Google's support forum.

"Inevitable" doesn't mean "right". Sometimes it means "cute" or "simpler" or "more impressive". Only when it means "more effective" does it really count. The problem is that "more effective" is a synonym for "moving target". If you can, on a day to day basis, give your client (which may be yourself) the best solution, you are better than I. Ninety percent success makes me ecstatic.
