Scrolling title bar

I have seen a scrolling title bar(like a marquee), in some customized programs. I was wondering if anyone knew the code for this?

Thanks for any help

There is some recent discussion in the VB forum, here. I suspect you might be able to adapt the idea.

I'm pretty noob to C++ (two weeks and counting :p ).

I had a look at the thread, tried to get some ideas from it. I'll have a look on some websites for a similar code for C++. Thanks DaWei.

Post back if you can't find anything. Marquees are sort of de rigeur, but that doesn't mean they're not programmable. One presumes you mean in a GUI environment, such as a window or dialog box, right? They CAN be programmed in a console window by using the Windows Console API.

Can you post some more details? Like are using WIN32 API or some another library, etc.

If you're new to C++ then learning the WIN API is hell. Don't do that. I would probably go for C# if you're creating Win GUI programs.

Well basically, I'm trying to get the hang of C++, as it is used in some aspects of a game I play, and I plan to mod it. Plus, I plan to become a game programmer for a living(eventually).

I have Dev-C++, and it has text editor source code with it. I edited the code and am trying to find code for a marquee. Sounds stupid(cos it is), i'm just trying to get the hang of different uses of C++.

I am always willing to learn anything, including WIN API(even if it is hell :p ).
