Connection Pooling

I have read this on the page whose URL is given below.
http://www.sinc.sunysb.edu/Stu/cchau/system.htm

"JSP provides a connection pool whereas PHP provides only a single connection to the Database"

Does ASP provide connection pooling?

Incidentally, the webpage is wrong. PHP can use persistant database connections via functions like mysql_pconnect, and has been able to since PHP 3.
