your compiler might recognize those fine...
but after you include them try using using namespace std; EDIT: lol sorry, i just read you already tried that

Mmk. The compiler recognizes <STRING.H>, but the 'string' function isn't recognized.
string mystring; ^ || Not defined, or something.
