Can't - the administration here doesn't trust outside media. They're rather strict on that matter.

Can I ask why you're using such an outdated compiler?

lol
I was first taught C++ using Turbo C++, and I've recently gotten back into the whole programming shindig, so I went and grabbed Turbo C++ as it was a familiar compiler. I'm working on a school computer that has a firewall that does not allow any downloading whatsoever, so I can't get a modern compiler. I got Turbo before they shutdown downloads. x.x

your compiler might recognize those fine...
but after you include them try using
using namespace std;

EDIT: lol sorry, i just read you already tried that

Mmk. The compiler recognizes <STRING.H>, but the 'string' function isn't recognized.

string mystring;

^
|| Not defined, or something.

Also, I was brought up using the headers like that. *shrugs*
Your resume' readers/interviewers won't give a rat's about that. They have lots more choices available.

Can I suggest you get your hands on MinGW (with either the Dev-C++ or Code::Blocks IDEs)? Smuggle it in on a CD or something.
