Correction: the language Visual Basic.NET 2005 (Free) is great. The VS2005 Express IDE (Also Free) sucks amazingly (some people seriously think you can program using flow charts, and that VB is all about making photo albums). .NET FW 2.0 includes all the language enhancements ("My" namespace basically which IMHO is pointless) - stick with your paid for version of the VB 2003 IDE and download the IntelliSense updates, or use SharpDevelop.

The .NET languages have certainly improved, but the IDE has simply been infected with the blue gradients, and an annoying colloquial help system (I prefer the full MSDN reference which is authoritative, professional and does not patronize the programmer) - it's just a blessing clippit hasn't arrived on the scene (it look's like you're writing a Hook callback interrupt, would you like some help?). In truth though, there's been very little significant changes to merit a new IDE, and I personally prefer how VS2003 looks (clean, neutral and to the point).

Perhaps that only happens in kiddie languages like VB .NET... it's perfect for C++ and C#. Or, maybe, just maybe, you're not in Code View?

OK, I was joking around a bit. Your post was utterly pointless. Unless you have something useful to say, I suggest you confine your comments to the Lounge.
