In Microsoft Word, go into Tools>Macro, then click on Visual Basic Editior. I don't know how well it works, though.

You could always try Visual Basic .NET - it's free!
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/vb/ Your alternative is to go out and see if you can find a copy of VB 6.0. It came out about seven years ago, though, so eBay's probably your best bet. I recommend you try VB .NET instead though - it's a much better language. |

The problem with Visual Basic for Applications is that it's very limited. Sure, you can play with buttons and stuff, but you can only do useful stuff to your document - the rest of the system is pretty much off-limits.

![]() VBA? VB Express? What has the world come to. If an IDE's second official selling point is "Fun" it's a sign to stay away (why would I want an RSS enabled screensaver?). That said Gambas does have a purple shrimp mimicking MSOffice, but at least it doesn't go "it looks like you're writing an Interop assembly". If you're serious about using VB.NET, as opposed to believing you can actually program using only flow diagrams: 1. Pay for (or acquire) the full uncrippled version. 2. Download the SDK and run SharpDevelop as your IDE (no debugging yet though ). |
