There old computers, it's a shame they didnt take off. Every school in the country would have used BBC's and i had one at home, i then moved to an acorn computer.

The GNU documentation says that this bit is set when the stream is "unusable". Presumably the intent is that once this bit becomes set, all bets are off on that stream forever.

Uni Comal, but my real first one was Pascal. I didn't really learn comal as such.

I took a class at my school that taught me QBASIC and that was really my first encounter with programming. But my first language that i ahve actually taught myself and "WAS" serious about is BlitzBasic. Recently i ahve movied up to C and Python.

IBM 54 assembler on paper tape. Yes, there was an IBM 54. It didn't have a core, it had tubes.

I can't remember acorns or BBCs, but i do remember seeing an acorn when i was 7 and thinkihg it was cool. We had a BBC at my old school in the tech department, but i didn't get to use it.
