were tracking the movements of all the employees that work in a research centre, we'll be using ubisense to do this but also need a working example of a com object using coldfusion.

The employees have badges that are hooked into the research centres database. To retrieve this infor we need to understand how the com object works as it will be retrieving infor from that database. Basically when people go onto our webpage they should be able to see the employees walking around as little dots (hopefully!!) I hope you have a better understanding now. To be honest with you im finding the programming very hard so would really appreciate any infor or advice anyone can give me.
Hopfully hear from you soon anyway!!

So basically you have scanners outside of each door in the building that they have to scan to open...

and you want a screen to be able to pick out all of the latest badge scans. An put a dot with their badge number on the layout that you have?

am I close?

Theres sensors in every room and when an employee walks in the sensor picks up the badge number which has been assigned to every employee and tracks exactly where they are. If you open this link it will give you a better understanding, im fairly crap at exaplining! http://www.ubisense.net/demos/meeting/meeting.html. This is basically what we want to achieve.

I'm real glad I don't work there
do you possibly have a non-flash demo?
