I've been using Delphi now for almost 8 years, although still working on version 5 (found version 3 buggy).

Personally I like the language for speed and ease of use. I comment a lot but it's pretty easy to see what's going on without commented code.

However, I've also done a bit of C, C++ and Visual C++. I'm looking for a new development position at the moment but there isn't much call for a seasoned experienced Delphi developer - especially one who is completely self-taught. Most companies are looking for C++, C#, Java.

I may have to bite the bullet and put more effort in to fully understanding C++.
