FireFox Toolbar

Hey, I don't know if its been done yet, but if not I'd would like to build a Firefox Toolbar. Would this be possible in VB or would I need to do it in C++ or Java?

Build a lot of them, if you like, but don't try to get me to use it. 95% of all toolbars are sugar tits for the lazy and unwarranted exposure to those who would control your machine for you.

Firefox extensions are made with XUL (which is an XML based GUI language) and JavaScript, so that would be a no-no

almost all toolbars suck. don't waste your time designing something that people will hate.

I don't see a need to attack him for this idea. The toolbar could be extremely useful; you have no idea what kind of toolbar he's planning to make. It's not like it's hurting anyone (unlike the guy with the evil search engine) so why criticise?

I agree; some toolbars are very useful. The Web Developer Firefox extension has a toolbar, and I use that from time to time. Perhaps 95% of IE toolbars are not worth the download, but many Firefox toolbars are genuinely useful - so long as you don't mind the extra screen real estate the things take up.
