Sorry for posting twice like this. But I noticed you were using the book made by Deitel. That is what my Comp Sci class is using also. It came with JCreator I definately think you should check it out, just pull out the cd.

Just curious. What did you think of the book. I honestly didn't like it. I much preferred Beginning Java by Ivor Horton. I felt he explained it more extensively and logically.
As of this time in the course its strange I really do not like the way my teacher teaches the class.
The book is alright I keep straight writing and editing the programs from the books to get my experience.

The book is informative.
I am a funny guy though when it comes to it I just like being able to get through projects with expedience.

That and I also prefer that which takes less.

I am currently using an IDE called gel. I find it very useful as it gives code completion. Which I think is brilliant. Previously I was using codeworks which was developed as a project at my uni.

Anyways on with the coding

i use JBuilder which you can get for free at download.com or other similar site. forget the integrated compile/run environment, i just like something that formats the text in different colors...especially after about ten beers.

I use eclipse. It's a bit like netbeans, but I think it's better.
