Unhappy Trouble shoot installing visual studio

I installed visual studio with no problems in my computer, but now my computer is broken, so I am trying to install visual studio in a friend's computer but don't let me. I don't have problems installing the pre-requisite but I have problem with the second stage. The computer asked me to installed the HP printing software of her printer, but I don't have her printer with me and the computer don't let me go ahead with the installation.

Sounds like you have a broken windows installer (msi) installation. Basically if you don't complete or roll back a previous installation, the installer runtime will still have the previous installer program cached, and won't let you run another, its probably nothing to do with VS.net as such. Either get the original .msi HP installation file and run a repair / uninstall or peruse microsoft land for some sort of repair tool. Sometimes clearing your temporary files and the msiexec cache can help.

In other words, you are telling me to re-installed my friends printer, re-installed her software, then clear the cache?

Is not giving any error when I am ready to go to the second step tell's me. Thanks for purchasing Hp printer.
What do you want to do, to load the software or to remove the software. I click in load the software but keeps telling me that it can find the printer. Of course it can find the printer because I don't have it with me Her computer is a laptop and I am using my own printer. well, I click on removing software but I don't really want to remove her software. It is not my computer.

You evidently have to remove the printer software, and if the installation is broken it probably is broken anyway. I would suggest trying for help at one of the plethora of windows help forums, or consider another OS
