I am the owner of a web design company and deal alot with real estate websites. The key to a realtors web site is listings for propertys for buyers to search. The data is provided over the internet to a brokers url typically for free (their annual dues cover this whether they use it or not) but it is a just a large data dump and not useful in that state. I outsource all of my idx to other companies and would like to be able to discontinue doing so. For a solid product that will run on my economy hosting servers which pretty much just have asp, php and mysql capability I would like to make an offer. I don't know how to do the software at all, I can get you in touch with the listing services that provide the data and you would have to get the information from them and write the software. Different regions have different data feeds so each area would require its own data compiling rules. We are located in Arizona and would like to start with the Arizona feeds and spread out from there, CA, NV, CO, NM etc. Now on to the most important part...Money. The funds are not there to develop this, however, I am not asking for donated time. We would like to offer this service to real estate agents for monthly subscriptions so the income will start when the product is in production. Most companies charge 15 to 50 dollars or more a month for a single agents listings. More for broker offices with multiple agents. We are willing to split the revenues to a negotiable dollar amount of around $50K+. Please contact me at george@ezzini.com to discuss terms. Serious, experience developers only please.
