Look into conditionals (if, else, etc) in Delphi... in C/C++ it would go something like this:
if (bmi > 18.5 && bmi < 30) // do something else // display error

thanks. got that sorted now. well almost. now i just need to figure out how to make a convertor of kg to pounds etc. thanks for all the help you have given me.
