OK, first you should start by using the Query functon, under the query tab, after you have created a relational database eg..so the query looks through all the tables and the form, google this or try to figure it out yourself "PFO RULES" dont ask ohers to do homework for you

I am not asking for people to do it for me, i just want a starting point ie.
what it the term is for tis sort of thing because i have looked in all the resource books in college and the help topics in access and all the search / find functions i can dig up all relate to table searches out side of the form

i would like the user to be able to input a keyword and press a button...and hay presto much like any other search engine but i cant find the code statement...and because of this my program has come to a stand still

please give me a keyword just to start me off please (dont make me beg)

Do you really attend college? In an English speaking country? I wouldn't have even pegged you at middle school. Due to the lack of punctuation and extremely shabby sentence structure, I had to read your post a few times before I had a clue as to what you want (and I am still not 100% sure).

I agree with stevengs, so lets get this straight this help you need is in ms access so its not techinally your program and from what I know im pretty sure you dont need code to make this work. And its not a visual basic question so why the hell is it in the Visual Basic forum.

SELECT sounds like a good keyword if you are looking for something in a database.

Your grammer and punctuation do not insult me. They do make it difficult for us to help you though. Rather than complain about what you feel to be undeserved criticism, why don't you make an attempt to explain the problem better. ( or at least complain AND explain )

So, what is your native tongue?
