Exclamation Final Year Project

Hi All,

I am S.M.Ali Kazmi (SMAK). I am a student of BS(Computer Science) in my 4th year and I have to do a Final Year Project and I am short and I really mean short of ideas . To help you to help me out, I will try to explain what I already know about programming

1. Some basic assembly (machine language)
2. C++
3. C#
4. ASP
5. ASP.NET (Web Services and Web Forms)

I am not reluctant to learning some more for the project. I just need ideas, good ones.

Thx in advance

Have you looked to the industry? Here in Germany, the best thesis topics are found outside the universities ( although not the best salaries ).

maybe you can try creating your own Kernel from strach that would perform likes linux kernel. but since you're only have some basic assembly maybe you can just try to develop an applications.

try creating an editor that will do syntax highlighting for C++ or C#. I think thats a good project to start. I am currently working on simple C# editor called LukeSharp.

Good luck ^___^

that is enough for writing a kernel. You won't need that much of advanced assembly code. And when you don't know something in assembly, we always have google..

making your own OS is something good that you can do as much or as little as you please. i was unaware that assembly was machine language. thanks for the info!

assembly isn't machine language, it is a text presentation of machine language.
