wow sounds like it rocks, I wish I could help but im still a mere noob.... but I would love to take a peak at the source code to see just how complex programing it would be, that is if you have any solid code down yet.

i don't know if this is beyond , well, whatever, but since it's called element (like iignotus said) how about having one icon be an atom, and when it gets a mouseover or is active or whatever you choose (or a status indicator...whatever) how about animating the image so that the electrons are flying around the nucleus. kind of like dawei's old avatar. i think that would be really cool.

I know it may be late. But here is my design for the element Background (Uses the same dimensions).

A skinning system would be nice. Other functionality needs to come first, though.

I like the background. Perhaps you could have a version recolored to blue to match the existing assets? Keep such endeavors coming...few here are artistically inclined.

Perhaps your post is a good canidate for a seperate thread. This thread is long dead and in the wrong forum.
