I am an artist for an MMORPG currently in progress, and we are in need of programmers. This will be based off of the show Xiaolin Showdown.

For those of you who don't know what the show is about, it's about 4 monks who are trying to collect these ancient magical artifacts, called shen gong wu, before the forces of evil(heylin side) can.

I am making a 3D MMORPG based entirely on this concept, with tons of custom feautures such as
+Arcade for minigames in every town.
+Huge explorable world.
+Tons of new Shen Gong Wu.
+A great customization feature: You can customize Gender, body size, hair style, hair color, skin color, clothes, Good or Heylin Side, Element, Martial Art style, and 3 Beggining shen gong wu.
+Basically most of the game won't require a mouse, because it will NOT be a point and kill game. The fighting system will be based on one of the popular fighting games such as streetfighter and tekken. This means that there will be around 6 keys, in which you use to combine combos. There will also be a special element key where you can combine your element with your martial arts style and your shen gong wu.

We are modeling with GMax, but you can use whatever you want since we can convert the files later. And the engine we are most likely to use is True Vision.

Whoever you get, form an actual coding team and try to meet in person. This is a very complicated and intricate task, requiring a lot of time and effort as well as basically a script of what to do throughout the entire game. How far along are you in making this game, and what games have you or people in teams you've been in made before?

Have you asked the owners of the show in question whether you can use characters, etc. from the series? Because I have a hunch the answer would be "no".

We are not going to use the characters from the show, but we will put up the idea to them just as soona s we finalize everything(which will be quiet soon). Then if they say no we will rename everything and it will be allright, we're not using much from the show anyways, except the shen gong wu.

when a PROGRAMMING task is "in progress" maybe there should already be some...PROGRAMMERS? otherwise it's really just a concept.

If you can't afford to pay atleast $35 an hour for a programmer, expect them to laugh in your face... for a project like this i hope you can afford to pay for a car in cash to give to that programmer.

Sheesh, so much hate...You guys should know that all our of our staff are experienced in what they do, and the game is going to f2p, or that is our dream so we are not going to be paying any of our staff, I know they would love to help just to be part of a project, not all people are greedy...money isn't everything. So if it goes like we plan, meaning f2p, then we will have a cash shop that will pay for the server, .com domain and all other game expenses. Now if the game is really well done, and we cannot keep it running due to money issues, we will make it Buy to Play, but not p2p. Hope that answeres some questions.
