It would be best if we could do it for a game that we can see the source code for. That way we can analyze the environment we need to adapt to, directly. Rather then playing and studying it until we think we realise how things need to react.

I am considering whether the server source would be available. If it was, I think that the C# people would have an unfair advantage. The protocol will be simple and the rules are in the link that I provided. So what do you think? Server source or no server source?
