want to try something big...ruby on rails
I might want to make my own forum software, and maybe ruby-on-rails would be an ideal language for doing this? It can work with databases right? Can anyone point me to any tutorials on the advanced aspects of ruby?

While you are at it, considered trying the AJAX approach? Ruby on rails is supposed to go nicely with it.

Ruby on Rails seems to be gaining popularity... I may have to look into it also soon
