Team name: Java Programmers New Game Association or for short... JPNGA. Just a little title i thought of for the team.




Brief description:
I have decided to coduct an ORPG game. And to do this im looking for programmers expert in their area. The project will be a simple online role playing game, such as the infamous "RuneScape" the team will be required to develope, take responsibilites, and be able to understand and speak english clearly.

The goal is to produce a fun online either MMORPG or MORPG type of game.

This will be a free project however. So only those of you doing this as a sport and are willing to help create the game. What we need are:

Artists, Java Programmers, Visual Effect Artists, Sound, and at all possible, experienced well-rounded java programmers.

After the game has been created, i have ideas and ways of getting it to help fund for our labor afterwords.

We will host the game on my company's Quad Xeon (8.8GHZ) web servers, as well i will get a website up to post updates and previews of the game. What my goal is, is to get a great free game up based off of the Diablo, and Runescape type of games.

Myself, i am a Java programmer, and a very experience graphic designer.


Those who participate in helping create the project and following through will be acknowledged on the website, and when the time comes, earn revenue that the game provides.

I want this to be a fun project.. All that are interested, and are actual programmers are welcome to join the team -- The More, the Merrier.

Post here, or PM --However, i'd prefer you to post here if you wish to join, as well as your capabilities.

Once i have a team assembled we will then further discuss the specific aspects of the game. I came to this forum hoping that we can get a group of programmers together to create a one of a kind game.

I will update this thread with anymore missed information.

Target aim: I'd like to have a free area of the game, and a paid members section where the members get some more benefits. The game itself will be freeware, unless we plan on changing it in the makings.

Compensation: After the game has been made, we will get ad's on the website, get a members section going, and the sum of the revenue will be divided amongst all those who participated in the project.


Talent needed: Artists, Java Programmers, Visual Effect Artists, Sound, and at all possible, experienced well-rounded java programmers.

Team structure: Project Co-Ordinater, Visual layout Effect Artist, Sound Effect Artist.


Website: The website will be created after i get a proper team assembled and we have all agreed on how and what we will be doing.

I like this forum, it's where i'll come to get a few laughs. The only people people will attract here are lesser over-ambitious under-skilled programmers. Not that ambition is bad, but you have to know how to channel it...
