Kaplan University has a great campus and courses for Computer Science and Engineering. If you're interested in technology, i suggest you forget all other college applications..

I went to the University of Southern Mississippi (usm.edu), and briefly at Mississippi State University (msstate.edu)
I hear Colorado State at Ft. Collins has a good program as well. What's your location? Are you even in the US?

HI crazykid48x,
Any college should be find and then you can transfer to UC. The best US is MIT or CMU but I believed, if you want to work or have a career in Computer Sciences and computer engineering, you need to design so many projects and you have a lot of hands on experience with all different programming languages. BS in CS/EE won't be enough to get you hire. and most of the companies have their development team in Asia & India. but don't give up!!!... maybe you'll be sent to India/Asia...hehehhe.. jk jk.. ![]() if you graduage from ANY colleges and UC or CSU will be fine as long as you're an exprience programmer ^__^ Good luck with your studies

I'd look into a state college in California or Colorado... MIT would be supreme, but good luck on getting admitted.

I was looking into Carniegie Mellon (CMU), but it's as expensive as hell, but it has a great computer science program.

in another 6 or 7 years you'll realize how pointless the college selection, high school shit is. a state school will give you a roughly equivalent education for about 1/10th the cost. the DEGREE is what you need. first time around i went to a $25,000+/year private university (probably costs twice that now). and i was i bio major wanting to be an optometrist. lame, i know. i switched to radio production and then to psychology (which i still love, but so do 99% of undergraduates...). while the school's name may help you on your resume if it's princeton or mit, you'd be better off just getting a regular CS education. in this field it's YOU buddy. not the fucking school. student loans are a bastard unless your parents work at a shit farm for 3 cents an hour. (financial aid rules dictate that until you reach the age of 23, your need is based on your parent's income...regardless of whether or not they give a shit about you, and contribute nothing). what i meant about it being YOU, was that you have to sell yourself. i could make a robot out of dixie cups and plastic straws that could complete a CS major.
bottom line...at your age (and you'll understand me later) you don't know what you want when you get out of high school...because you're an idiot. i have an IQ of 155+ and i still think i was an idiot out of high school in retrospect. create a spreadsheet in excel or whatever that lists colleges by various criteria...cs program, freshman retention rate, students per class, grad percent....etc. and sort them. visit your top five or three or whatever you can afford. campus visits are really helpful.
