Thumbs up Beginner, whos interested

I've just started a course in java at university, but have experience in programming in all kinds of crazy BASIC langauges. The course is interesting, but a tad not-challenging at the moment. Hence, I'd love to work on a project or some projects in a team - best way to learn I think!

I dont care what language its in, as long as I can programm within the langauge without buying any software

So yes, count me in Ivan

Tom

Smile I can learn..

I've been learning java for a while now, which is an object based language.. I believe C is also? Ive found that I can apply my programming principles to any language given enough time to learn the language.. Judging by the briefness of your response I'll assume your too thrilled with my offer of help though :o

hehe Its matters not, I'd love to learn C, C++ or C# though...

C is not a OO but C++ is. I am also a beginner in C so we can learn together while coding...

First, there is an great free IDE for C an C++. It is called Dev-C++. Search for it on Google. Then you should read some tutorials, there is a very large list of tutorials here at the forums, search for it...

Currently, I am doing a phonebook, it is almost fineshed. But I would like to make the GUI for it and some other details.

At the moment i'm learning at universtiy an object oreinted language, JAVA.. Is it a good idea to go back to a procedural one such as C ? Will this confuse my programming idea slightly?
