Making a database application in VB.NET
Hello.
I was wondering what are the possible ways of creating a database application using VB.NET? The database would be located on a main server which would need to have an interface that can be accessed by all other computers connected and will save the records, etc on the server. These are the possible ways i can think of to make a database with VB.NET. Use VB.NET and Access. Use VB.NET and text documents located in folders. Use VB.NET and MySQL Out of them all I would prefer using Access or the text possibility as i do not know MySQL or have enough time to learn it. What are the benifits and disadvantages of each of these methods? What other options are available? Thanks very much in advance ![]() |

I would suggest VB.Net and MySQL... Ms Access has capacity limitations. MySQL is not that difficult to learn and even easier to code for.
