Text-Based MSN Messenger

Basic Idea
I'm thinking about creating a text-based msn messenger using C#. I believe it has the msn api built in thanks to the .net framework, so that is very handy. Obviously I dont know enough quite yet to take on this task, but this is what I'd like to create.

There is one available for mac and linux, but i havent had the time to learn the basics of unix/linux quite yet, so I'm still using windows. It is called TMSNC, text-based msn client, available here http://tmsnc.sourceforge.net

I'm looking to create something similar, but not exactly like that. Unless he makes a windows port

If anyone with any C# experience would like to help me with this, feel free to send me a pm. I've got some ebooks here that I am reading, learning some new stuff.

My Resources
http://www.xihsolutions.net/dotmsn/index.html
http://www.codeproject.com/csharp/ConnectingToMSN.asp
http://www.hypothetic.org/docs/msn/research/msnp9.php

Do you have any ideas for this project?

Thanks for reading.

MSN is really flawed. Once I get into C# I'll need to check that out, so I can basically reconstruct MSN with a different GUI. :p

Didn't know Element was going multi-protocol.

why would you want a text-based MSN client for Windows?

Ask yourself.
