It depends on the genre. 3D shoot 'em ups like CS really need to be played with a mouse; you don't quite have the same fine-grained control on a gamepad. Nor can a mouse and keyboard be beat for strategy games, or any game which requires a lot of point and clicking. Other games genres work far better with gamepads.

Yes, I agree Arevos, it strongly depends on the game category you are talking about, my preference goes as follows:
RPG & 1st person shooter : Computer
Arcade games (racing, fighting, side scrolling shooters) : Console PS,PS2, GameCube
Puzzle games (like Tetris, bejeweled) : Handheld PDA

I use the PC. There's no comparison. You can easily set custom keys, get patches/add ons for the games, mod the games, and you can always improve their performance by upgrading your system

Yes, Halo2 is just as good as a game as Halo. I wish they would of saved more space for the game itself and not the xbox live componets. Seeing that there is no DSL out these parts.

I don't use the Xbox live for any of my games but I play multiplayer mode with my brother so it makes it a bit more interesting.
