Criticism is hard to take but falsely praising crap is only a way to keep people self-satisfied while they're standing in the unemployment line. I can tell you from experience that if rejection dranos you, don't try to write professionally. For one of my successes, I got about $300 for 6 months work!

Well, we don't have to worry about that in shadowhunter case. Everybody was honnest with him about his site. But we should distinguish between constructive and destructive critisism. Destructive="Dude, it totally sucks.", Constructive="Dude, it totally sucks because I don't like the background color"

Damn... bet that experience 'learnt ya". There is nothing like a couple of months with nothing but saltines to eat to drive a point home.

What astonished me, and caused me to be so direct, was the matter-of-fact manner in which he presented his grand design as though it were a masterpiece which could inspire them to greatness, when in fact it is a poster-child for all of the "what you should never do"s of web design.

I know it is pretty bad I can do much better but if nothing else this website gives Teecha something and that is how NOT to design a website which is what this topic is all about anyway right?
You sure are a good sport shadowhunter. I kinda feel like a heel for draggin' ya through the muck like that. It was in good fun. I had a webprogramming instructor that was similarly 'out of touch'. You should definitely consider confronting the school's staff. You have a right to a certain level of instruction, after all, you are paying them.

I didn't eat saltines. I cashed a stock option and blew it to smithereens. It was cheaper than wife #2, but not nearly as beautiful or satisfying .

What's wrong with her font? It is not against the rules and it sure adds taste to the forums.
What if someone tell you to lose the PENGUIN, what would you do then ?
